Vinelea Cottage is a luxury B & B located in Gisborne South in the picturesque Macedon Ranges.
It is a wonderful private sanctuary to base yourself to relax, unwind and explore all the surrounding region has to offer in food, wine, entertainment and natural beauty during all 4 seasons.
We are conveniently located near Gisborne township (7min), Train Station (10mins) Melbourne Airport (25 mins) and CBD (40mins).
It is a short drive short drive to local wineries, restaurants, cafes in the surrounding region including Gisborne, Mt Macedon, Hanging Rock, Woodend, Kyneton, Trentham and Daylesford.
The Property
The cottage was the original farmhouse built in 1847 and fully restored in 2024 with all the modern comforts.
It is positioned at the front of a beautiful 2.5 Acre rural property with beautiful native and European tress and grapevines.
The owner’s residence is located 70m from the cottage ensuring privacy.
The property also boasts a magnificent Timber Barn that is available for intimate private functions, events and weddings.
The 2.5-acre gardens have been beautifully landscaped with ornamental trees such as oaks, maples, silver birch, crepe myrtles, weeping lilly pillies, ornamental pears, crab apples, wisterias and ornamental grapevines.
You can expect to see plenty of native wildlife including parrots, cockatoos, kangaroos, kookaburras, magpies and Griff the owner’s adorable Border Collie. The property is surrounded by the famous Ballybrook Farm which is a world class breeder of Scottish Highland Cattle.
